  • Bulk 20-Pass — $180 + HST ($9.00 per return trip) Best value for frequent visitors or resident guests. Share passes via SMS. Never expires.
  • Monthly Unlimited — $145/month + HST Unlimited crossings for 30 days from purchase. Non-transferable.
  • Annual Unlimited — $1,450/year + HST Unlimited crossings for 365 days. Ideal for year-round contractors. Non-transferable.

All paid passes are subject to 13% HST.

How It Works

  1. Register — Download the FerryPass app and create your account using your email and phone number.
  2. Verify — Residents upload a photo of their ID or utility bill to prove island residency and unlock free access.
  3. Receive Pass — Once approved (usually within 24 hours), your permanent digital QR pass appears in your app wallet.
  4. Scan & Go — Open the app as you approach the dock. The operator scans your screen, and you're on board.

When does FerryPass officially launch?
The official start date will be announced soon. We are currently testing the system and rolling out early access to select residents. Until the official launch date is announced, please continue using the existing paper passes.
How do I prove I'm a resident to get my free pass?
When you register in the FerryPass app, you'll be prompted to verify your residency. This involves uploading a photo of a government-issued ID or utility bill showing your Bois Blanc Island address. Our team reviews these manually to ensure secure access.
What if I forget my phone or it dies?
For residents, dock operators can manually look up your active pass by your name or address in the system. For non-residents, we recommend printing a copy of your QR ticket just in case.
Can I buy passes for my guests?
Yes. Once you have an account, you can purchase a Bulk 20-Pass package and easily send individual return tickets to your guests via SMS right from the app.
